    About Us

At the Assistance Dog Council (ADC) (Registered Charity number: 1187252), we aim to help and support as many disabled people with assistance dogs as possible, regardless if they are from a charity or not.
We provide advocacy to those who have been refused access or discriminated against due to the assistance dogs, or provide support to those wishing to do it themselves.
We also advise businesses and service providers on their responsibilities under the relevant legislation. This has been done recently with schools and universities to helping councils adjust the wording on their public space protection orders, to ensure assistance dogs are exempt.
